Wordless Wednesday

Congrats or Condolences..

you decide!!! We have been married for eleven years. I cant even begin to comprehend the amount of dirty laundry and morning breath Ive endured for this man. Then again I did get these two really cute and inspiring angels out of the deal. Still..marriage is a bit morbid if you think about it. 'Till death do us part!! Yikes that's a long time. When I said those words I had not even paid off my first car yet. Still the wedding itself was worth it. What a great day. Cari...you rocked for painting my toes while I got my hair done!! One thing I do know is that marriage is allot of work and requires the intervention of God, honesty and equality... otherwise it will not work. There, that is all the knowledge that I have gained in eleven years. (I drive a much nicer car now tho :*)

Be small enough to hear me now!

oh, great god, be small enough to hear me now .there were times when i was crying from the dark of daniel's den and i have asked you once or twice if you would part the sea again. but tonight i do not need a fiery pillar in the sky. just wanna know you're gonna hold me if i start to cry. oh, great god, be small enough to hear me now .
oh, great god, be close enough to feel you now. there have been moments when i could not face goliath on my own and how could i forget we've marched around our share of jerichos. but i will not be setting out a fleece for you tonight. just wanna know that everything will be alright. oh great god, be close enough to feel you now
all praise and all honor be to the god of ancient mysteries whose every sign and wonder turn the pages of our history. but tonight my heart is heavy and i cannot keep from whispering this prayer "are you there?" .
and i know you could leave writing on the wall thats just for me or send wisdom while i'm sleeping, like in soloman's sweet dreams. but i don't need the strength of samson or a chariot in the end. just want to know that you still know how many hairs are on my head oh great god, be small enough to hear me now

Is it possible???

This is a bit off topic but bare with me. Its something that has boggled my intricate mind for years and I am at the point where I am ready to embrace a possible gold mine instead of fighting a monster. I have discovered that bleach is a fast acting laxative. Point in case: We have three count 'em THREE bathrooms in our house. No sooner have I scrubbed, scoured, and yes..BLEACHED these rooms with my well manicured nails than the masses come running from all directions with their bowels calling for relief. To all three! Why!? So the way I see it, no longer do we have to force and bribe these concoctions that supposedly taste like "citrus" and "berry" down our loved ones throats just to help alleviate there poor "I-ate-to-much-pizza-pop-ice-cream-peanuts-chocolate-pie-in-one-sitting" overly porked bodies. Just dump a bit of bleach down the loo, let them get a whiff, make sure T.P. is in good supply and your set. Bye Bye Ex-lax. I think I'm on the precipice of a big money maker. Yeah..I told you I was clever!

Hey Shawty

Well, Sydnie being the ultimate superstar that she is, got to do the dance pre game show for the Harlem Globetrotters. (I think that was a run on sentence..don't care.) She did amazing and was so cute. The game itself was a kick in the red and white stripped pants. If you get the chance to go..do it. There is so little chance now days for good clean family fun. Also, if you want to go 12 hours early like we had to because we were part of the dance crew(ok, only 2 hours early..but dang) you got to go to Globetrotter University and do a meet and greet. Good times..

Sooooo Im the short white one with no basket ball skills whatsoever. In case you were wondering. These guys were GREAT!!!

Today is the day..

Caption this......

Not to be out done by "Uper Huddy"

My BFF Erin recently posted a picture of her adorable son Hudson dressed up like the super hero that he is. So, I decided to post a pic of our own caped crusader. And No...we do not still have up our Christmas tree. It came down on Dec 27th...but Luke was the do gooder of Christmas Day!! Rudolph had nothing on him.

5*5*5

Erin has tagged me to post the 5th picture from the 5th album in my picture folder. So..here it goes. You all were lucky...the next picture was from my Victoria's Secret Maternity shoot. Lol. Just joshin'. You can pick up your chin now Erin. So, I tag Cari, Nicole, Jamie and Kara.

Tucker

Isn't our little fur baby so darn cute. He has just made himself right at home here in our garden. He is Sydnie's personal alarm clock and Luke is the dogs personal chew toy. I'm the pooper scooper and Beau is Mr. Snuggles. I think Luke and I got the raw end of the deal. :) Tucker is loved all the same.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel!!!

When I got pregnant with Sydnie..I knew it was a girl. Not because of an ultra sound or a sixth sense. Simply because I was Rhiann and there was no other option. I couldn't wait to douse the house in pepto bismal pink and spend hours doing her nails and hair. I vowed not to cut her hair until she was old enough to make that decision(read:never). I have truly enjoyed doing her hair and braiding it everyday...it is so pretty and long.

Then one day...I lost all the brains in my head and had it cut. She loves it. As for me..the moment the first chunk of hair hit the floor I blacked out. I know "it will grow back", but all the same its like my baby is growing up. WAAHHH!

Funny Faces, Funny Stories

So, the other day Sydnie wanted me to take some pictures of her making funny faces. Wow..it makes me feel old when 2 seconds after the picture is taken she asks to see it. I remember when I had to wait two weeks to see the picture that was taken of me and I thought Polaroid cameras were either magic or the devil. Anyway, after taking pictures of Sydnie, I looked at Luke and asked him if he could make a funny face. Lucky for me I was able to capture his first attempt at a funny face.

Now, Luke loves to wash his hands!! It will keep him busy for a good 10 minutes(that's an eternity in Luke time). So, he will pull the stool up to the sink and I have to run the water. During all this he likes to show me often how clean his hands are by finding me and wiping the water from his hands on me. Today after many minutes of hand washing and multiple trips of Luke wiping his wet hands on me and me proclaiming "wow Luke your hands are so clean", I decided it was time to turn the water off. I walk into the bathroom to find the water runing, but no Luke at the sink. Nooooo, he is hunched over washing his hands in the toilet. Say it with me now..."Eeeewwww".

Just what I need...

Some one else to clean poop and pee up after. Sorry for the lack of posts. You wouldn't believe how much has happened Through the Garden Gates. I could write a hit country song about us and our adventures the last 3 weeks. All the way down the the dog dying. Yes, on New Years Eve our sweet poodle Emma got hit by a car. My daughter, being the optimist that she is, quickly pointed out that now we can have pic nics on the floor without the dog eating our food. *cry* So, we got a new puppy named Tucker Stone Gates. Sydnie was really pushing for Tucker Stoner, but I was able to dodge that bullet. Tucker is a mix of shitzu and poodle. My father in law was kind enough to inquire as to whether Tucker was more "shit" or "poo". So, I plan to be back to blogging now that our country song seems to have played its last chord for now. Hope your all having a good New Year..God Bless.~Rhiann

Look what I found....

Hi all..Luke here again. Today was simply amazing. We decorated our tree..but that is another story all together.(let me just say those ornaments can fly).
So, my daddy and I had some down home wrestle mania today. I whipped his bum. This is what I like to call my "you want a piece of me" face. Yeah..I know! I totally wore him out.

I took this opportunity to do a little exploring and discovery time. Being a boy I'm very curious about holes and I have already memorized all of mine so I decided it was time to broaden my horizons, so to speak. This guy can sleep through anything.

My adventure and spelunking turned up some pretty interesting things. I'm currently sending it to the lab. I think Ive discovered a new species of...something. I will be naming it Lukitis Gatotis.
Until next time, remember...never stop at your own belly button hole. ~Luke

What am I thankful for

Obviously I'm so grateful for my children. God choose me to be their mother and for that I will forever be grateful. Everyday I pray that He will lead me in raising them and help me to appreciate and guide them to become wonderful little people. How many smiles would I not have smiled without them.

Luke is thankful for Tippy Cups, dirt, cars, Sydnie, waffles, bath time, dogs, shoes, yogurt, Mimi, Papa, and belly buttons.
Sydnie is thankful for Olives, Luke, dance, music, Hannah Montana, Uncle Boy, Mimi, Papa, her Aunties, purple, crafts, God, Mommy, Daddy and the Tooth Fairy.

Question of the day??!!

From the highchair of Luke;
"Does this onesie make me look tough? So, do you think I should get a tattoo or what??"

The person you need is.....

Nanny McPhee!!! I know, scary huh!!?? Gotta love those loose teeth.

Oops!! Looks like Nanny McPhee whacked Sydnie with her stick. We have officially lost 3 teeth with one more close behind. She will be singing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth".

When the moon hits your eye....

We have a small tradition of making pizzas here you see?!
We smear the sauce, spread the cheese and lots of pepperoni.

It was Luke's first time as a chef and boy did he do great,

He put some goodies on the pie, but most of them he ate!

He was a great big help, he liked the pineapple a lot.

He was all filled up with pizza..at least that's what we thought.

The cupboard was wide open, the boy with a smile upon his face

He needed some animal crackers and he needed them all over the place!

So, if you want to be like us, make Pizza..its a blast.

or cut your Pizza Hut coupon out. Its cheaper and its fast!

Happy "Gimme Candy" Day

Alright, luckily for my children they cant get much cuter otherwise I would turn them into something edible. I just want to eat them up. Obviously Luke-a-Duke is a punkin and Sydnie is a witch. Last minute she decided to be a scary witch..but no green makeup. Wow..put a mom on the spot why dontcha??!!

Luke was not totally impressed by the hat. O.K. He hated it. Until he figured out he got candy when he had it on. We trick or treated some local business first and by the 3rd stop he totally got the idea. He wouldn't stop taking candy out of the bowl!! When his bucket got to full for him to carry, we had to empty it but he freaked out when we tried to take it away so we had to empty it while he was holding onto it. Jeez!

Ahhh! Sweet Rewards of a hard night trick or treating!! (we had to tag team him in the kitchen sink after this lolli. Only Luke knows how many licks it took to get to the center).

Now, let talk about how bad candy is for you!! Look at this face!! Do you think this child just ate a candy bar(or ten) or a banana??!! Holy cow. She was literally jumping on the furniture.

Yes...she is making a candy angel. I kid you not!! SUGAR!! SUGAR!! SUGAR!

On a final note, doesn't it bug you when kids ring your doorbell and say "trick or treat", but they don't have on a costume. Well, we decided to give those kids ...waffles. Yup..waffles. However, Luke decided they could be better put to use in other ways. The boy loves his breakfast!

Happy Halloween everyone!! Just remember the devil may think he owns this day..but the glory is all Gods regardless of what day it is. I would totally give the Devil a waffle!!
